Business leaders shared insights on entrepreneurship, navigating challenges and building successful local businesses

According to a release by the Livingston-Overton County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Overton’s Class of 2026 “dove deep into economic development yesterday.” The goal was for participants to gain understanding.

“From small business ownership to state-level economic development to major manufacturing, participants gained a comprehensive understanding of how economic growth happens in Overton County,” according to the Chamber.

Shaun Scantland with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development was on hand. He spoke on TNECD’s roles in supporting business growth.

“… Available tax credits, and resources for companies looking to expand or relocate to Tennessee,” according to the Chamber. “The day concluded with a facility tour at INOAC, where Ned Cobb and his team provided an inside look at their manufacturing operations and the role manufacturing plays in our local economy.”
