The return of the Great TV Auction (GTA) will run June 1-9.
WCTE’s Great TV Auction is a 24/7 online auction, and the station’s biggest and longest-running fundraiser set to run from June 1-9.
“Thanks to the generous donations from local businesses and event sponsors the virtual fundraiser will offer a wide range of items, including gift cards to popular restaurants, entertainment and overnight excursions, fine jewelry, art and much more,” said WCTE in a statement. “Bidders will have the freedom to bid online 24/7, while viewers can enjoy the nightly showcase on WCTE from June 5-9 at 7 p.m. Check local listings for WCTE or stream the auction on the WCTE website at wcte.org/live, as well as on WCTE’s Facebook and Youtube channels.”
Adding excitement to the nightly showcase, local contestants will participate in the traditional “Minute to Win It” style games.
“These fun and entertaining Games will surely keep you engaged each night,” said WCTE. “Additionally, WCTE will feature local musicians who will perform and enhance the overall experience of the showcase.”
This year, “Auction with Avery” will take place June 6 at 7 p.m. at Spankies Restaurant in Cookeville.
“Everyone is welcome to attend this dutch-treat event, where you can enjoy friendly bidding competition while watching the live televised showcase,” according to WCTE.

If you win an item pick up at the WCTE PBS offices at 229 East Broad Street June 12 to June 15 and June 20 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. WCTE says all items remaining after Nov. 1, 2024, will be included in the next auction.
