Clay County still sits at highest unemployment number in state
There wasn’t much change in the Upper Cumberland’s Unemployment numbers in April.
Warren County dropped from 3.6% to 3% last month. Elsewhere in the Upper Cumberland, DeKalb dropped to 3.6% from 3.4% in February, while Cannon County sits at 2.7%, and Clay decreased from 4.5% to 4.1% in March.
Fentress County landed at 2.9%. Jackson sat at 3.2% in April while Macon County landed at 2.4%. Overton County stands at 2.8%, and Putnam County’s number decreased slightly to 3% from 2.7%.
Smith landed at 2.5% while Van Buren sits at a 3.4%, slightly down from 3.8% in March. Warren County landed at 3%. White County sits at 2.8% while Pickett dropped to 2.9%, down from 3.7%.
