Upper Cumberland Habitat for Humanity Set for 26th Annual Cooking on the Square

Cookeville – Upper Cumberland Habitat for Humanity invites the community to the 26th annual Cooking on the Square on October 28 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the courthouse square in Cookeville. Presented by Baird Private Wealth Management, Cooking on the Square is a family-friendly opportunity for you to support UC Habitat for Humanity while enjoying delicious gumbo, jambalaya and other Cajun themed soups and stews.

“It is our honor to be the Presenting Sponsor of Cooking on the Square again this year! The awareness that this event brings to the mission of UC Habitat is important, and this community always rallies around an opportunity to break bread together while supporting a good cause,” said Steve Boots, Senior Vice President for The WillowPointe Group at Baird Private Wealth Management. “

Habitat has made the dream of affordable safe housing a reality for many families, and we are thrilled to be able to participate in this important endeavor.”

Purchasing tickets before the event is encouraged and will be available starting October 1 at OneBank (Jefferson Avenue), First National Bank (Jefferson Avenue), and American Bank & Trust (Neal Street) in Cookeville. Tickets will also be available online at uchabitat.org. Ticket prices are $25 pre-sale and $30 at the door.

Each ticket includes a keepsake bowl, bread, dessert and a drink. Cooking on the Square is a fun chance to sample soups from many local cooks who represent different clubs, organizations and businesses while also supporting the mission of UC Habitat for Humanity.
