UCDD Prepares for Move

COOKEVILLE – The Upper Cumberland Development District (UCDD) will be moving to their newly constructed facility located at 1104 England Drive, Cookeville, Tenn. in mid-August.

The tentative date for opening at their new location is Monday, Aug. 19. UCDD offices will be closed at their current location at 1225 South Willow Avenue, Cookeville on Friday, Aug. 16 to make the transition.

UCDD leadership believes the new site and facility will better serve their board, staff and clients. The newly constructed 19,483 square-foot office building, designed by Upland Design Group and constructed by Mid State Construction, includes a large meeting space, ample parking and an interior thoughtfully designed to accommodate individuals with limited mobility, with client meeting rooms near the entrance, larger waiting areas, widened hallways and a covered drive-through entrance. The location of the building site was carefully chosen due to its proximity to Interstate 40 and Highway 111.

All services and programs currently located at UCDD, with the exception of the Aging Services for the Upper Cumberlands, Inc., will be relocated to the new facility. Aging Services for the Upper Cumberlands, Inc., will move to the current Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency facility located at 580 South Jefferson Ave., Cookeville.

UCDD plans to hold an open house at their new office in the fall, with the date to be determined.

For any questions regarding this transition, UCDD may be reached at (931) 432-4111.
