Tn state CPA society to award over $250,000 in scholarships

BRENTWOOD– The Tennessee Society of CPAs is now accepting scholarship applications from undergraduate and graduate students pursuing accounting at a Tennessee college or university. Since 1990, TSCPA has awarded over $3.5 million to deserving students throughout Tennessee.

The 2019 scholarships range from $500 to $25,000 each, and this year more than $250,000 is expected to be awarded.

The award recipients are selected based on their commitment to pursue the CPA designation, academic achievement, letters of recommendation and financial need. While membership is not required to apply, student membership is free and student members receive additional consideration during the selection process.

“TSCPA is dedicated to ensuring there is a strong pipeline of accounting students in Tennessee who are working their way towards earning their CPA license,” said Brad Floyd, TSCPA’s president and CEO.

Applications must be received by June 14. To learn more about the TSCPA scholarship program, visit tscpa.com/scholarships.
