COOKEVILLE – Nashville’s Jake Ziegler is bringing classic rock and blues to Dogwood Park.
The free concert – the first in this summer’s Third Thursday in the Park series presented by Cookeville Leisure Services – will be held May 20 at 7:30 p.m. at 30 E. Broad St.
“Jake promises to bring a lively, energetic performance,” Chad McDonald, Cookeville Leisure Services cultural arts superintendent, said. “He is a singer/songwriter who loves rock and blues in the Tom Petty style. It should be a great evening of music.”
Patrons are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket. Concessions are available.
More Third Thursday concerts are scheduled for June 17, July 15 and Aug. 19.
“This year’s schedule will feature a wide variety of music with something to please everyone,” McDonald said.
The Third Thursday in the Park concert series is sponsored by the Cookeville Arts Council. For more information about concerts in Dogwood Park, call 931-528-1313.
“Enjoying great music in the outdoor setting of Dogwood Park is a great way to spend a summer evening,” McDonald said. “Enjoying it for free is even better.”
