The Women Center’s 8th annual Mams 4 Moms

COOKEVILLE  – The Women’s Center at Cookeville Regional announces their eighth annual Mams 4 Moms event on Friday, May 10 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This event is for women all over the region who receive a mammogram. There will be refreshments available as well as a special gift for each patient. Those who receive their mammogram on May 10 will have the opportunity to have a free bone density heel screening.

“Early detection is key when detecting breast cancer. This day is to say thank you to all mothers and a way to remind and encourage them to stop and give themselves the gift of peace of mind and health,” said Stephanie Jennings, chief mammographer at the Women’s Center. “If you are a mom, niece, sister, grandmother, friend, aunt – we welcome you.”

The Women’s Center at Cookeville Regionalis the only breast imaging center in the Upper Cumberland to earn the American College of Radiology’s Breast Imaging Center of Excellence status.  They combine state-of-the-art technology with a comfortable atmosphere to make sure patients receive quality diagnostic services, relying on digital, 3D mammography and breast ultrasound. They are also proud to offer bone density testing, which plays a vital role in the diagnosis of osteoporosis. With a focus and commitment to education and self-awareness, the Women’s Center at Cookeville Regional is a vital part of care for women’s health. 

If one is uninsured or underinsured, the Pink Ribbon of Hope Fund through the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation may be available to help.
