COOKEVILLE– Carters and Torrid are the latest additions to the Shoppes at Eagle Point lineup.

Construction at The Shoppes at Eagle Point is rapidly progressing in anticipation of the Fall grand opening and CBL Properties is working on nailing down tenants for those last few spaces available.

“We’re excited for the development of the whole area,” said Mayor Ricky Shelton. “This is going to be great for our citizens, but it will also solidify the fact that we are the regional shopping hub of the entire Upper Cumberland.”

Carters, a retailer catering to children from birth through toddler sizes, will be located within the main retail strip anchored by Publix and Academy Sports.

Torrid, a retailer specializing in cute and trendy clothing for women in sizes 10-30, will locate in one of the out parcels.

Shelton is optimistic about the city-wide impact of the shopping center.

“The great thing about this is – these are national retailers and that’s great, but what it also provides us is an opportunity for people to come into our market and be able to discover our small-town local shops, especially in the downtown area. It expands the retail tide with more people coming in to shop.”

The updated official list includes: Publix, Shoe Carnival, Five Below, Ulta, Ross, Academy Sports, PetSmart, Torrid, Carters, Allure Nails, Ascend Federal Credit Union, Castle Dental, Five Guys Burgers, Panera Bread, AT&T, Chipotle, and Panda Express.
