Tech to host two ‘Preview Days’

High School and college transfer students will have a chance to take a closer look at Tennessee Tech on Saturday, Sept. 15 and Oct. 6, when Tech hosts Preview Day.

COOKEVILLE –High School and college transfer students will have a chance to take a closer look at Tennessee Tech on Saturday, Sept. 15 and Oct. 6, when Tech hosts Preview Day.

Students will have opportunities to learn about Tech’s admissions process, explore different majors and submit applications on site to attend the university. Information sessions on special topics will be hosted throughout the day including financial aid, scholarships and the transfer process.

“Preview Day offers prospective students an opportunity to take a closer look at Tech, to become more familiar with the learning environment and overall student experience,” said Brandon Johnson, Tech’s vice president for enrollment management. “As you become more familiar with what is offered both in and out of the classroom, you will likely realize how Tech can help you reach your full potential and prepare you to be career-ready. And although you will spend only a few hours on campus, we believe you will feel at home and be able to imagine yourself as part of our Golden Eagle family.”

Participants will be able to tour the campus, learn about student life, chat with faculty and current Tech students, and enjoy food for the entire family. Transfer students are encouraged to bring an unofficial copy of their transcript if not already admitted.

Registration for Preview Day is currently open. There is no cost for the event, but all students and guests are asked to register in advance. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 15 and at 11:30 a.m. for Oct. 6.
