Baxter – According to sources, the Taco Bell that broke ground back on July 12 of 2021 in Baxter is very close to opening its doors. They are only in need of a single part, and when that part is delivered they should be able to open fully to the public.

An official opening date has not been set, but the fast food giant has been on the road to opening for almost two years, including planning and funding stages. The restaurant is owned and operated by Franchisee Imaan Ferdowsi.

According to their website, Taco Bell says franchise locations like the one going up in Baxter are key to growth as a company and jobs in sometimes smaller markets. The restaurant chain has given opportunities to young employees since its inception in 1962 when Glen Bell opened the first Taco Bell restaurant in Downey, California.

“We believe in the power of a first job, and know that working at a Taco Bell restaurant is often that all-important first break for many people” according to the website. “A first job has the potential to be the place where life-long lessons are learned, careers are kick started and passions are realized – and we and our franchises want to help. We and our franchisees are committed to hiring roughly 1.5 million youth ages 16-24 over the next 10 years. And by the end of 2022, as a system we plan on adding 8,000 U.S. locations and creating 100,000 new jobs.”

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
