CEO Karen Wilson has been with ISS for 25 years
International Specialty Supply (ISS) in Cookeville, a leader in the commercial sprouting industry, is celebrating a “milestone of excellence and dedication,” according to the company. CEO Karen Wilson has been with ISS for 25 years, and the company says she is a driving force behind the company’s growth.
“The best way to describe Karen is that she works ‘full steam ahead,’ and we are all lucky enough to go along for the ride,” according to Jennifer Harvey, Director of Purchasing
ISS says her leadership has guided the organization through times of change and helped shape “a culture grounded in integrity.”
“Karen began her journey with us in Sales and, through dedication, vision and leadership, rose to become our President and CEO four years ago. Under her guidance, ISS has not only grown but also returned to profitability after a challenging period, a testament to her commitment and belief in our people and our mission,” according to Dessa Hix, Vice President and CFO.
Wilson is passionate about her job.
“This doesn’t feel like work to me — it’s a passion and a part of my life every day. My job has given so much back to me and my family, allowing me to raise six beautiful children and support them. I’m deeply passionate about what I contribute to this company and incredibly grateful to be here today. I never wake up thinking, ‘I have to work today.’ We’re just getting started.”
