Proceeds from registration fees and sponsorship support our Cancer Patient Assistance Fund

Cookeville – Tomorrow Cookeville Regional Medical Center is hosting the Summer Splash 5K in hopes of helping struggling cancer patients in the Upper Cumberland community.

“Gather family, friends and co-workers and sign up to run or walk the Summer Splash 5k at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 24,” said CRMC in a release. “This family-friendly race will help you beat the summer heat with gentle misting stations (and optional drench stations) along the race route. 

Proceeds from registration fees and sponsorship support our Cancer Patient Assistance Fund. All participants will be timed and have the option to order a Summer Splash T-Shirt. Proceeds from the Summer Splash 5K will go toward the Cancer Care Fund at Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation and participants are encouraged to run in honor or memory of a loved one impacted by cancer.

The race was established in memory of Sarah Alice Bagci, who battled Burkitt’s Lymphoma. The race will begin promptly at 6 pm, beginning near Dogwood Park Amphitheater with the start line on N Walnut Ave.
