Visits like this strengthen the local economy

Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development Deputy Commissioner Dewayne Scott recently visited Overton County. The Livingston–Overton County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) was on hand.

“Along with the Deputy Commissioner and other stakeholders, County Executive Steven Barlow, Mayor Lori Elder-Burnett, and Chamber CEO Zach Stephens saw up close TCAT-Livingston’s skilled trades programs with President Cliff Wightman and visited American Stave Company, which will create over 60 jobs producing white oak barrel staves later this year,” according to the Chamber.

The Chamber says visits like this strengthen the local economy.

“Building partnerships that strengthen our local economy and bolster our workforce is a top priority of the Chamber,” according to the Chamber.
