COOKEVILLE – A benefit wine and bourbon tasting event is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 16, and proceeds will benefit the cancer fund at the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation.
“Sip, Taste, Mingle” will take place from 4:30-8:30 p.m. at the Leslie Town Center, 1 W. First St., Cookeville. The event will include seven different vendors, with representatives to answer questions about various wines, bourbons and food pairings. “Sip, Taste Mingle” will feature more than 100 diverse wines and high-end bourbons. Light hors d’oeuvres will also be served.
This is the third year for “Sip, Taste, Mingle.” It’s being hosted this year by Happy Hour Wine, a wine, spirits and high-gravity beer shop on Jefferson Avenue in Cookeville.
“We are truly grateful to our friends at Happy Hour for hosting ‘Sip, Taste, Mingle’ once again,” said John Bell, executive director of the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation. “At the Foundation, we rely on events like this and sponsorship from community organizations to provide assistance to over 2,000 patients each year. Nearly half of those patients are cancer patients, so we are particularly grateful that this event will benefit the cancer fund.”
Tickets to “Sip, Taste, Mingle” are $35 per person or $60 per couple and may be purchased by calling (931) 783-2003 or visiting www.CookevilleRegionalCharity.org. Sponsors include Happy Hour Wine and Terry and Andrea Burkhard, agents with New York Life.
