Scooter’s Coffee continues growing in Tennessee

New Tennessee residents sign multi-unit agreement with national coffee brand

OMAHA, Neb. –– Scooter’s Coffee, LLC, the Midwest-based drive-thru coffee franchise that is experiencing record-breaking growth, is continuing its effort to grow its presence throughout the United States by bringing its world-class drive-thru coffee locations to McMinnville, Tennessee and the Nashville suburbs of Bellevue and Goodlettsville.

Scooter’s Coffee, based in Omaha, Nebraska, specializes in artisan espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, baked-from-scratch pastries and features its signature drink, the CarameliciousÒ. The company also recently added depth to its profile with a line of organic hot and iced teas, single-origin coffee and Cold Brew & Cream.

The expansion is the result of a three-unit franchise agreement signed by Christy and Matt Fey who recently relocated to Tennessee from Phoenix, Arizona. “We wanted to move to an area with better schools and I’d always wanted to live near Nashville,” says Christy.

After a visit to the area in April, the Feys sold their home in two days and immediately bought one in Spring Hill, Tennessee. By July they’d moved in. Three weeks later they’d sold their business back in Arizona. “I’m a natural entrepreneur, always looking for what’s next,” says Christy.  “I woke up one morning and thought about franchising.”

When she started researching franchise options, she was excited to find Scooter’s Coffee. “When I was pregnant with our first child, we’d just moved to Omaha. I didn’t know anyone, and my husband was busy at work. I discovered Scooter’s Coffee, and it was a lifesaver for me. That season was the only time I went to a coffee shop every single day. Never in a million years did I think I’d own one someday.”

According to the latest market trends compiled by the National Coffee Association, 60 percent of Americans drank coffee in the past day. That’s more than reported drinking tea, juice, soda, or even tap water! And the number of people who reported buying coffee at a coffee shop or restaurant has risen 20% since January of 2021. The drive-thru coffee model, already popular in our fast-paced society, has boomed during the pandemic, giving customers a way to get a delicious beverage while staying socially distant. Scooter’s Coffee kiosks, with the Brand Promise of “Amazing People, Amazing Drinks… Amazingly Fast!®” is helping Americans meet that demand.

Christy says she always knew the coffee was amazing and now she knows the organization is, too. “Scooter’s Coffee is comfortable to me. It feels like home. The company has a mom-and-pop feel. It lines up with who we are and how we run our lives. Customer service is huge for us.”

“We’re very excited to see Christy and Matt Fey join Scooter’s Coffee,” says Kelly Crummer, Scooter’s Coffee Senior Director of Franchise Recruitment. “They share our core values of integrity, love, humility and courage. They’ll be a great addition to our franchise system.”
