First annual gala will be held at Burnett Family Farm
Roane State’s Fentress County campus will host the college’s first annual Winner’s Circle Scholarship Gala May 3, 2025. A Kentucky Derby-themed event, the gala will raise funds to support scholarships for Fentress County students.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for our friends in Fentress County to enjoy a fun evening while making a difference for our students,” said Cheryl Tays, site director for the Fentress County campus at Roane State Community College. “We have a lot of fun planned, with all kinds of activities and delicious food in a beautiful location.”
The first annual gala will be held at Burnett Family Farm, located at 4529 Standing Rock Road in Deer Lodge. The venue is owned and operated by Todd and Tracey Burnett.
“We are so grateful to Todd and Tracey for their support of Roane State students,” Tays said. “They have been very generous in helping to plan this event and provide the location.”
For her part, Tracey Burnett said she is proud to support Roane State students by hosting the event. “We understand the importance of students getting the education they need to become the next leaders of our community, and we are happy for this fun opportunity to support Roane State’s mission,” Tracey shared.
Festivities will begin at 4 p.m. CT, with dinner to be served at 5 p.m. CT. The evening will feature a live, big screen viewing of the Kentucky Derby, prizes for best hats and attire, and entertainment by Tennessee musician Jake Hoot, champion of Season 17 of The Voice.
Tickets to this year’s Winner’s Circle Scholarship Gala are $50 per person, which includes dinner. Those who are interested in attending may purchase tickets at roanestate.edu/wcsg25. Table sponsorships are also available for $400 (eight seats included).
