She has been with CRMC since 2003 and has held several leadership positions

Cookeville Amy Rich, RN, has been named chief nursing officer (CNO) at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position with more than 22 years in nursing.

A native of Cookeville, Rich earned an RN degree from Cumberland University in 2001 as well as a Master of Health Care Administration degree with a concentration in health care leadership. She has been with CRMC since 2003 and has held several leadership positions as the Director of CVOR and Vascular Lab and now as the Director of Quality Management.

“Amy comes to the position with the institutional knowledge of our organization and has a proven track record of being a strong leader at the medical center,” said CRMC Interim CEO Buffy Key.  “She will transition out of her current role over the next four to six weeks before she transitions into the CNO position on or around the target date of April 3.”

Chevelle Johnson, RN, has been serving as the interim CNO since the retirement of former CNO Scott Lethi, RN.

“Chevelle deserves much gratitude for taking on the responsibility of leading the nursing department during the transition period following Scott’s retirement,” said Key. “She has done so with professionalism, integrity and dedication to our staff and patients.”
