McDermott has been with CRMC in the Information Technology Department since 1998

Cookeville – After serving briefly as the interim Chief Information Officer (CIO), Tim McDermott has been named CIO at Cookeville Regional Medical Center following the retirement of Les Bernstein last fall.

A native of Cookeville, McDermott has been with CRMC in the Information Technology Department since 1998 and has over 24 years’ experience in the field. He holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Tennessee Technological University.

“Tim’s leadership and hands-on experience have equipped him to design, develop and implement IT strategies and solutions that align with our hospital processes and strategic business goals,” said Chief Financial Officer Tommye Rena Wells. “We are pleased to make this announcement and feel that Tim will be a strong member of our leadership team at the medical center.”
