Registration still open for Haunted Half

COOKEVILLE – There are still available slots for the Upper Cumberland Haunted Half marathon to be run on Saturday, Oct. 16, with a start time of 7 a.m., and WCTE is offering a discounted Blues and Brews ticket for all runners.

Registration is open and is totally online (with no hidden fees!). Race registration will be open online through Wednesday, Oct. 13, at midnight.  After that, runners may register in person at packet pick up or on race morning.

There is also a Virtual Haunted Half option – Oct. 1-16 with a discounted registration cost! You don’t need to run with any special app, just complete your run and enter your time and any photos via Run Sign Up! Click here for instructions to submit your time.  If you are registered for the Haunted Half and decide at last minute to run virtually, please email us and we will change your registration. Refunds will not be given.

Runners can run the full 13.1-mile course or form a relay team of 3 and run a 4-5 mile segment.  All runners, both full distance and relay members, receive a race shirt and medal.

Medals and shirts are Halloween themed, and we encourage runners and team to dress in costume (it’s just fun!!). In addition to overall and age group awards, unique awards will also be given to the best male and female costume and best relay team costume.

Packet pick up will be on Friday, Oct.15 from 4-7 p.m. at Express Footwear (1430 Interstate Drive, Cookeville), our premier race sponsor and running shoe headquarters. Look for table set up outside the store to check in, then head into the store to get your race shirt and support our sponsor.  A Hoka representative will be there to answer any questions and help with fitting. Masks are encouraged but not required inside Express Footwear.

To keep our runners safe, Covid infection prevention measures, in accordance with CDC and local guidelines at the time, will be instituted (Click here for more info).  Pets and strollers are NOT allowed on the course.  Headphones and earbuds are discouraged.
