Board-certified optometrist specializing in Cataracts, Glaucoma and Dry Eye Syndrome joins Cookeville and Crossville practices
“Cookeville Eye Specialists and Laser Center and Cumberland Eye Care (C&C/CNC) announce the addition of optometrist Dr. Jennifer Peek to their teams. Dr. Peek is a board-certified optometrist specializing in cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration and dry eye syndrome. She has more than 25 years of experience in comprehensive eye care, including advanced training in primary care optometry, ocular disease management, and specialized treatments for various vision conditions,” according to a release by the company.
Dr. Stewart Galloway, an ophthalmologist at Cumberland Eye, says experience is key.
“Dr. Peek’s extensive experience and expertise in optometry make her a valuable addition to our team,” said Galloway. “Her wide range of specialties and commitment to comprehensive eye care will enhance the level of service we provide, further supporting our mission to provide the highest standard of eye care to Cookeville and Crossville.”
Peek, who provides personalized care with a strong emphasis on early detection and advanced treatment options to help patients maintain and improve their vision, will see patients at C&C/CNC’s Latana and Cookeville locations.
“My commitment to patient-focused care has been a cornerstone of my practice, and I am eager to join a team that shares this dedication,” said Dr. Jennifer Peek. “I look forward to helping patients preserve and enhance their vision while offering accessible, high-quality eye care to the community.”
She earned her Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis and completed externships at Primary Eye Care Group in Brentwood Eye Health Partners in Nashville, TN, and The Eye Center at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis.
In Memphis, she gained “extensive experience in primary care optometry, ocular disease, low vision, pediatrics, vision therapy, contact lenses and practice management.”
Dr. Peek is a member of:
- the American Optometric Association
- the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians
- Upper Cumberland Optometric Physicians Society.
“She is also actively involved in community service, providing eye exams through the Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps clinics to patients in the Cookeville community,” according to the release.
