Pallisade Trumpet Collective to perform at Tech

COOKEVILLE – Tennessee Tech University’s School of Music presents the Pallisade Trumpet Collective in concert on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 7:30 p.m., in the Wattenbarger Auditorium.

The Pallisade Trumpet Collective was founded in 2021 to engage audiences through the exploration and evolution of music for trumpet ensemble. Each member of the ensemble is a distinguished performer, professor and pedagogue from universities across the United States. Education is a staple of Palisade’s creative vocation, and it is the group’s goal to reach new audiences with the power and beauty of the trumpet.

The group is fluent across multiple genres and periods and strives to enliven the spirit of chamber music for trumpet through a plurality of voices, cultures and eras. Arrangements of non-traditional brass repertoire and commissions of new music for trumpet ensemble are bedrock goals for the Palisade Trumpet Collective.

Wattenbarger Auditorium is located in the Bryan Fine Arts Building on Tech’s campus at 1150 N. Dixie Ave. This concert is free and open to the public.
