COOKEVILLE – Dr. Michael Pahl has joined the team at Tier 1 offering orthopedic surgery and sports medicine.
Pahl and his family come from southern California where he has practiced the last decade.
“I wasn’t even looking for anything new, but Tennessee is one of the top states we wanted to move to,” Pahl said. “I found an ad for this position in Cookeville. It seems to be a great fit. The pieces fell together.”
He received his Bachelor of Science in movement and exercise science – exercise physiology and minor in chemistry at Chapman University in Orange, Calif., and his medical degree Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Penn.
His interest in sports medicine and orthopedics originates from his teenage years.
“I played basketball in high school and had to have surgery on my knee when I was 16,” he said. “That’s my first venture into orthopedics.”
He also worked for an orthopedic group when he was in his undergraduate program in California. From knee care and fracture treatment to other orthopedic or sports medicine needs, he can help.
