“Our team is incredibly excited to be part of these wonderful communities.”

(UCBJ) – Cookeville-based LANI EV told the UCBJ it will establish an official opening date for the new Cookeville location “later this summer.” Headquartered on Neal Street in Cookeville, the company designs and, starting in 2026, will assemble all models in its Cookeville and Nashville locations.

“… Our team is incredibly excited to be part of these wonderful communities,” according to a statement.

The PGA Show is the largest of its kind and happens every spring in Orlando. Golf companies of all sizes show up to give the public a first glance at new products. LANI EV was there and did not disappoint the crowd with what it calls “a rare distinction in today’s golf cart market — a commitment to clean, electric mobility.”

Its prize showing was the L2 electric golf cart.

“While much of the industry leans into exuberant colors, oversized wheels and an excess of accessories, LANI has chosen a more deliberate approach. The L2 electric golf cart is elegantly proportioned and meticulously crafted with a sense of familiarity that is both intentional and deceptive,” according to a release.

The L2 offers a “sophisticated exterior” in an advanced suite of cutting-edge technology, according to a release.

“Ask any course or facility manager what they hate most when it comes to managing their cart fleet, and charging will be at the top of their list,” said LANI EV Founder Jon Watters. “Depending on the size of the fleet, simply marshalling carts to and from the charging garage can be a multi-personnel job. Combine that with cart downtime, charging costs and turf damage from constantly rotating vehicles, and the costs start to quickly pile up. But a fleet of Lani EVs can dramatically reduce and even eliminate those costs.”

The company says its approach to the market includes:
• Highly competitive fleet lease agreements
• Low-cost vehicle buyouts
• A plan to rapidly extend its close-range customer access across the U.S. through service-focused franchise locations

“Our team has a track record of pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and redefining the status quo,” said Chris Watters, LANI’s CEO. “We now have the technology, the leadership expertise and the infrastructure to bring the low-speed vehicle market forward into a future that recognizes zero-emission solutions are not only competitive, but even more practical and affordable than the outdated technologies being used today. With LANI, that future starts now.”

LANI’s electric vehicle line includes:
• The two-seat L2
• Four-seat L2+2
• Two-seat L2 Utility
• Its street-legal, four-seat ZROX
