“For 40 years, Culver’s guests have been treated to cooked-to-order food made with farm-fresh ingredients.”
(UCBJ) – As reported by the UCBJ in January, it turns out Cookeville was the perfect bridge city for Culver’s after all. According to Cookeville Mayor Laurin Wheaton and Putnam County Mayor Randy Porter, the chain has announced it will soon call Putnam County home.
“A new Culver’s is coming to Putnam County and will be located at 969 S. Willow Ave., at the corner of South Willow Ave and Humble Drive in Cookeville. Stay tuned for more details,” according to Porter.
Culver’s has officially been issued building permits for the new location. Culver’s was born in Sauk City, Wisconsin, in 1984 as the brainchild of Craig and Lea Culver, along with Craig’s parents, George and Ruth.
“For 40 years, Culver’s guests have been treated to cooked-to-order food made with farm-fresh ingredients and served with a smile,” according to Culver’s.
Known for Butter Burgers and Fresh Frozen Custard, the root beer is incredible as well. Take it from me, a person with a lot of experience.
“Our goal for 2026 is to deliver flavors that spark curiosity and keep guests coming back,” said Kasey McDonald, Culver’s head of culinary. “I’m very excited to push the boundaries and try new things while staying true to the core Midwest items that define Culver’s.”
The Putnam restaurant comes on the heels of the company’s new location in East Tennessee and the release of its new 2026 menu. Culver’s has now expanded to more than 1,000 family-owned and operated restaurants across 26 states.
