Project includes major infrastructure upgrades and company-paid clinic and counseling services
(UCBJ) – Franklin Fixtures LLC (FF) is holding a ribbon cutting on Monday, May 18, from 11:30 a.m. to noon to celebrate a “major milestone” for the Cookeville manufacturer. The company has been producing retail display fixtures for bookstores, libraries and retailers nationwide since 1974.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate the completion of their 28,000 square foot warehouse and facilities expansion,” according to the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) who will be on-site for the event.
No small undertaking, the rework involved an overhaul of the site’s sewer and water infrastructure. “… And it creates the room Franklin Fixtures needs, considering their ongoing growth,” according to the Chamber.
FF is owned and operated by David and Lisa Uhrik, owners of Plenty Downtown Bookshop in Cookeville and US Pillars LLC.
“We’ve got a strong team, and business ownership requires a lot of courage and a little craziness, some days,” according to Dave Uhrik. “We empathize with our customers because, in so many ways, we are all in the same boat with the same mission, trying to make something that improves the quality of life for our communities, and that enables us to participate in a tangible way.”
One major addition as part of the project is an employee Wellness Room that provides on-site clinic and counseling services to as a company-paid benefit.
“It is a thoughtful touch that speaks to the kind of company they are,” according to the Chamber.
