Nashville eatery may bring menu to Putnam County

There is something special about Tex-Mex, and Baxter may soon have the chance to taste some of the best in the state.

According to official documents, property in Baxter Junction Subdivision formerly owned by Greg Mabey of Nashville sold to Yadira Reyes, who has owned Tex-Mex eatery Los Toritos (LT) in downtown Nashville since Aug. 2019, for $375,000.

Is Reyes eying expansion? Possibly. After all, he has already set a precedent.

The restauranteur has spent the last four years expanding with locations in Crossville, Gallatin and Wartburg. The Baxter property sits on 1.05 acres, is currently classified as Commercial, sits next to the recently opened Taco Bell at 125 Fast Lane and is a prime location for LT to grab a new market by the taste buds.

Only time will tell if Reyes plans to expand further, but all signs say yes.

For more information on LT Crossville, located at 224 Peavine Road, call 931-484-2221 or visit www.lostoritostenn.com to check out the menu or see what else LT offers.
