The “system,” as described by WingStop, is to grow independent franchises

The Upper Cumberland Business Journal has learned that Wingstop in Cookeville, located at 1265 Interstate Drive in the Shoppes at Eagle Point, will open its doors Friday, Feb. 9.

Wingstop’s menu features cooked-to-order classic and boneless chicken wings, crispy tenders and chicken sandwiches, all of which are hand-sauced-and-tossed in 11 bold and distinctive flavors:

  • Mango Habanero
  • Lemon Pepper
  • Garlic Parmesan
  • Original Hot.

“Upon the opening, guests can visit Wingstop.com or download the Wingstop app to order dine-in, carryout or delivery,” said Wingstop in a statement.

Headquartered in Dallas, TX, Wingstop was founded in 1994 as a small buffalo-style chicken wing restaurant in Garland, Texas. WingStop sales increased 16.8% last year to approximately $2.7 billion worldwide. The company says it has seen 19 consecutive years of sales growth. 

The “system,” as described by WingStop, is to grow independent franchises which make up 98% of Wingstop’s 2,046 restaurants.

“A key to this business success and consumer fandom stems from The Wingstop Way, which includes a core value system of being Authentic, Entrepreneurial, Service-minded and Fun,” according to Wingstop.
