New payment options for Cookeville utility customers

COOKEVILLE – The city of Cookeville recently completed a new software conversion for all utilities and is pleased to offer new payment options for utility customers. Cash and check payments continue to be accepted at the customer service counter and the drive through window at City Hall. Bank draft is also still available, and if you have signed up for that, your bill will automatically be paid from your designated bank account on the due date.

For in-person debit, credit card or e-check payments, you can use the new payment kiosks located at City Hall, 45 E. Broad Street, and the Cookeville Electric Department, 55 W. Davis Rd. You can also call 931-286-7021 to pay by phone 24 hours a day. Additionally, you can pay online at the city’s website at www.cookeville-tn.gov or by using the “City of Cookeville Utilities” app available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Please note that card payments will be charged a convenience fee of 2.45%. It is common practice for credit card companies to assess a fee to the vendor or retailer that accepts card payments and that fee is customarily passed on to the card user.

Visit www.cookeville-tn.gov, scroll down and click the blue “Utility Payments” button to access all these options.

City officials hope these new payment options will be convenient for their customers, and they appreciate your patience as they have implemented these new systems.  For assistance, please call 931-526-9591.
