Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners Amy Emerick and Crystal Maxwell Lead The Practice

(UCBJ) – Anchor Psychiatry (AP), a new psychiatric practice at 406 N. Whitney Ave. in Cookeville, will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting Oct. 6. The Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) will be on hand for the event, scheduled from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m.

AP focuses on accessible, evidence-based and personalized mental health care.

“Built on the belief that mental healthcare should be accessible, evidence-based, and deeply personal, Anchor Psychiatry takes time to understand each patient,” according to the Chamber.

Amy Emerick and Crystal Maxwell, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, provide “comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and personalized medication management” in a practice that focuses on “developing individualized treatment plans rooted in expertise and empathy.”

Its team also includes a licensed professional counselor offering psychotherapy services, “so patients can find a full scope of mental healthcare under one roof.”

AP offers:

  • Individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs
  • A licensed professional counselor
  • Psychotherapy services, allowing patients to access multiple areas of mental health care through the practice

“Both in-person and virtual visits are available, with Medicare and most major insurance plans accepted. Come meet the Anchor Psychiatry team and celebrate the care they are bringing to our community!”
