Company looks to hire dozens
The Upper Cumberland Business Journal (UCBJ) has learned the new Michaels location at 506 South Willow Avenue in Cookeville has set an opening timeline of early 2025, according to the company.
The company looks to hire dozens.
“We expect to open early 2025 and will be hiring for dozens of temporary, full and part-time roles over the course of the year,” company spokesman Rebecca Talley told the UCBJ. “Anyone interested in joining our team can learn more and apply at www.michaels.com/jobs.”
The opening will also come with specials and giveaways.
“We plan to soft open, and then will host a Grand Opening event for the community, which will be a lot of fun and include product demos, free crafts and giveaways,” said Talley.
Michael’s, which opened in 1973 and headquartered in Irving Texas, operates 1,275 stores in 49 states and Canada and online at Michaels.com. The Michaels Companies, Inc. owns Artistree, a custom and specialty framing merchandise manufacturer. The company announced last year it was expanding service with new locations and bringing new products to shoppers as a part of an “online, digital transformation.”
