UPPER CUMBERLAND – Kevin Mears has been hired as the new Director of Construction for Upper Cumberland Habitat for Humanity (UCHFH). Mears brings a wealth of management experience to the role and a strong passion on the importance of housing in providing stability for families.
Mears will be replacing Bob Jett, who has served at UCHFH for 16 years, providing leadership in building 50 affordable homes and dozens of repair projects for seniors in the region. Jett is venturing out with his own company, Blue Owl Construction and Handyman Services.
UCHFH and volunteers will start their 89 and 90th homes this month. For more information on the housing ministry, visit www.uchabitat.org. A reception honoring Bob Jett’s service will be held at UCHFH on June 30 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
