McWhorter Says Rankings Reflect Investment, Jobs And Opportunity Across The State
(UCBJ) – Tennessee is being recognized as one of the best places in the country to do business in the 2026 Business Facilities Annual Rankings. The state earned national recognition for its strengths in:
- automotive manufacturing
- nuclear energy
- critical minerals
- overall business climate
Deputy Gov. and Tennessee Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter said the rankings are about more than national recognition.
“Our success is about more than rankings,” McWhorter said. “It’s about what a competitive economy delivers for Tennesseans: more investment, better jobs, stronger communities and greater opportunity. … Together, with partners across all 95 counties, we’re building a Tennessee that can compete and win for the next generation.”
