McMenamin will supervise the 10-employee Cookeville office
Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands (LASMT), Tennessee’s largest nonprofit law firm, announced today that Christine McMenamin has joined the firm as managing attorney of its Cookeville office.
In this role, McMenamin will supervise the 10-employee Cookeville office, which serves low-income and vulnerable Middle Tennessee residents across:
- Clay
- Cumberland
- DeKalb
- Fentress
- Jackson
- Overton
- Pickett
- Putnam
- Van Buren
- White
LASMT, located at 9 South Jefferson Avenue, Suite 102, in Cookeville, is one of eight Legal Aid Society offices serving Middle Tennessee.
McMenamin brings 15 years of experience in the nonprofit legal sector, with much of her work focused on housing issues. Before joining Legal Aid Society, she served as housing supervising attorney for the Erie County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project in Buffalo, New York, where she led a team of three staff attorneys, three paralegals and many others in providing quality representation to tenants facing eviction.
McMenamin received her Juris Doctor from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School.
