Distinction highlights companies that demonstrate a strong commitment to employing and supporting women

Averitt has been named a 2025 “Top Company for Women to Work in Transportation” and recognized as part of the program’s Elite 30 by Redefining the Road, the official magazine of the Women In Trucking (WIT) Association.

The nomination was evaluated and confirmed by an industrywide vote involving more than 21,000 transportation professionals, according to the company.

“This distinction highlights companies that demonstrate a strong commitment to employing and supporting women in the transportation industry,” according to the company.

Elise Leeson, vice president of human resources at Averitt says the company is proud of the honor.
