In October there were 43, permits

Putnam County Mayor Randy Porter says that October construction numbers remained strong in Putnam County.

“October had 43 permits for $9.9 million in construction with 24 of those being for new single-family homes,” according to Porter.

In October 2024, there were 24 permits for $14.4 million. 24 of those were for new single-family homes. That month included one commercial permit worth $3.1 million.

“If we continue on this trend, we are looking to break 2022’s record of 407 permits for $90.3 million,” said Porter.

Permits generated $36,855 in fees, which operate the Building Codes Department.

“Remember these are numbers for Putnam County that do not include any of the four cities,” according to Porter.
