COOKEVILLE – The Leslie Town Centre will be hosting their first-ever May Market on Friday, May 6 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The market event will house over fifty local merchants offering candles, apparel, gifts and more along with door prizes and several food vendors. Admission will be $2 per person with children 10 and under free of charge.
“May Market will be a perfect opportunity to purchase unique items from local merchants,” said Kathryn Molina, Event Director of Leslie Town Centre. “We are partnering with Imagine Foundry offering free make-and-take cards to allow every child to make a card for mom, a new graduate or another important person in their life. It will definitely be an event you don’t want to miss out on.”
Co-owned by the City of Cookeville and Putnam County, Leslie Town Centre is supported solely by the revenues from its two venue spaces. The Estes Williams Room is 7,200 square feet and the Herald–Citizen Room, located on the upper level, is 1,500 square feet. The building houses the offices of the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, the Highlands Economic Partnership and the Putnam County Visitors Bureau. The Public Building Authority governs Leslie Town Centre for the benefit of the community.
