Land sale approved for Project Husky

COOKEVILLE – Monday night, the Putnam County Commission approved the sale of the 19.32-acre Lot D in the Highlands Business Park to Project Husky for $22,500 per acre. The city of Cookeville approved the sale of the parcel in the jointly owned business park at its March 17 meeting. The street address for the parcel is 2690 Highlands Park Boulevard, and it is located across from the existing Ficosa facility.

According to sources close to the project, Project Husky is an existing business that is in the food processing business. The project will have a $16 million capital investment and 45 jobs are expected to be created. 

A formal announcement of the project is expected within the next 60 days.
