AHA’s nine Regional Policy Boards foster communication between the AHA, its members, and state hospital associations

Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is proud to announce that CEO Buffy Key has been elected as an at-large delegate to the American Hospital Association’s (AHA) Regional Policy Board 4 (RPB 4). Her term began January 1, 2025 and continues through Dec. 31, 2027.

The AHA’s nine Regional Policy Boards foster communication between the AHA, its members, and state hospital associations and provide input on public policy issues unique to a region and nationwide. The insights and recommendations provided by RPB members play a critical role in shaping AHA policy positions.

“This appointment is an incredible honor, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to discussions that impact hospitals, health care providers, and the communities we serve,” said Key. “I look forward to collaborating with colleagues across the region to help guide policies that support the delivery of high-quality care.”

Key has been a dedicated leader in health care administration, bringing a wealth of experience and commitment to advancing patient care and hospital operations. Her appointment underscores her leadership and expertise in navigating health care challenges at both the regional and national levels.

“The CRMC board of trustees and staff congratulate Ms. Key on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to her continued impact in shaping health care policy through her role with the AHA,” said Cookeville City Mayor Laurin Wheaton, chair of the CRMC Board of Trustees.
