Company is offering up to a 40% discount on everything the store
According to reports, Discount retailer Essex Technology group, also known as Bargain Hunt (BH), a Nashville-based, “extreme value” retail chain, has filed for bankruptcy and will shutter all stores including the Cookeville location.
This could make times even tougher for budget conscious shoppers. Stores are set to close by the end of Feb. 2025. BH filed for Chapter 11 Monday here in Tennessee. In the petition, BH listed its assets at $10 Million with liabilities of between $50 Million and $100 million, according to a report by news.bloomberglaw.
The budget retailer has 91 stores in 10 states and offers everything from food to kitchen, home décor, toys, mattresses and electronics. Store Fixtures and Equipment are also being sold.
“Going-Out-of-Business-Sale happening now,” according to a release by the Cookeville BH location. “This is your chance to score amazing deals on everything in store. Everything must go! Act fast—these savings won’t last!”
