June 2024 had 36 permits for $9.5 million
According to Putnam County Mayor Randy Porter, June construction in Putnam County continued to be strong as the county had 43 permits worth “almost $10 million in construction.”
24 of those were for new single-family homes,” according to Porter.
“In comparison, June 2024 had 36 permits for $9.5 million with 26 of those being new single-family homes,” said Porter. “June permits generated $35,035 in fees, which operates the Building Codes Department.”
On a Fiscal Year basis (July-June) for 2024-205, the county had 406 permits for $99.8 million compared to 2023-2024, which had 397 permits $86.9 million.
“2024-2025 set a record for the largest dollar amount of construction with the $99.8 million. The previous record was 2021-2022, which had $89.4 million,” according to Porter.
These numbers are for Putnam County only and do not include any of the four cities.
