FiRST National Bank of Middle Tennessee (FNBMT) is breaking ground today on a new, full-service branch location at 925 W. Main Street in Woodbury.

“We are thankful for the strong support and growth we have experienced in Cannon County since we opened in Sept.  2024,” said Pieter van Vuuren, President and CEO of FiRST National Bank of Middle Tennessee.  He added, “Within weeks of moving into this market we knew we had something special in this community and the team of very experienced bankers. They are community-minded folks who have invested their time and efforts into the Cannon County community for many years. We are just getting started and look forward to building relationships and growing in this market.”

The new branch will model renovated locations with an “open concept lobby to enhance customer experience aligning with the values of community banking by promoting transparency, accessibility and personalized service,” according to a release by the company.

Bank officials say the mission is to remain a community bank, in the truest sense of the word.

“FiRST National Bank of Middle Tennessee has afforded our local team the opportunity to continue to serve as a true community bank.  We are proud to have served this community for the last 70 years and we are thankful to continue to take care of our friends and neighbors.  Whether we have been lifelong friends or just met last week, your banking relationship matters to us.  We encourage you to come experience why we say, “We Show Up”, said Krista Trail, Vice President, and Relationship Manager.

Many of the changes will be unique, including murals in the lobby, a history wall, and a map of the locations in middle Tennessee, along with a digital community board. The estimated completion date is spring 2026.

“FiRST National Bank of Middle Tennessee is committed to supporting the communities we serve and has 150 years of experience showing up and giving back,” according to the release.
