Pickett County has highest unemployment in area at 6.3%
The unemployment rate in the Upper Cumberland improved in March.
Warren County has a rate of 3.5%, down slightly from 4%. Elsewhere, Cannon County sits at 2.9%, down from 3.3% in the previous month, while Clay sits at 4.4%. Cumberland County sits at 4.5% and DeKalb County landed at 3.9%.
Pickett County is down from 7% to 6.3%.
Fentress stands at 3.4% while Van Buren landed at 3.4%. Jackson County stands at 4.5% in February, and Macon County’s number stands at 2.8%. Overton stands at 3.7% while Putnam sits at a 3.1%. Smith landed at 3.2% and White County’s rate is 4.2%.
