WHUB, a long-standing voice in the Cookeville community, is transitioning from News Talk to a Contemporary Christian format. The station known for its commitment to delivering news and talk programming, will now “focus on uplifting and faith-based content, bringing listeners the best in Christian music, inspiration and encouragement.”

The format change will officially take place on Good Friday, April 18 when the station will be renamed “1077 Grace FM.” According to the company, the change marks a meaningful new chapter in WHUB’s history.

“The shift reflects the station’s dedication to serving the spiritual and musical needs of the Upper Cumberland region,” according to the release. “The new lineup will feature top Contemporary Christian artists, engaging faith-based discussions and family-friendly programming designed to inspire and uplift listeners of all ages.”

Cookeville Communications General Manager Jason Grider is excited to share the vision.

“We’re excited to embark on this new journey and bring a message of hope, love,

and positivity to our listeners,” said Grider. “This change aligns with our mission to provide meaningful content that resonates with the community, and we believe this new format will have a positive impact on our audience.”

Grider expects a seamless transition. More details about programming schedules and featured artists are coming soon.

“WHUB invites the community to tune in and experience the new sound on 107.7 FM, 1400 AM and online through streaming platforms,” according to the release.
