Suntex Marina investors appoint Ansley Bray
Hurricane Marina (Hurricane) has a new general manager, and largest marina owner in the world made the appointment. Ansley Bray has been appointed by Suntex Marina Investors, LLC (Suntex). Suntex is the largest recreational marina owner in U.S. based on Marina count and boat slips.
According to a release by Suntex, Bray contributed to Hurricane’s growth over the years and has a “profound understanding of the marina’s operations and community.”
“With a steadfast commitment to excellence, Bray has ascended through the ranks at Hurricane Marina, beginning her journey as store manager before being promoted to Circle of Boating Manager,” according to the release.
Hurricane boasts over 700 slips and an array of amenities, including a well-stocked marine store, a popular restaurant, fuel pumps, boat rentals and the Suntex Boat Club operation.
Among her many achievements, Bray, who has a degree in accounting from Tennessee Tech University (Tech), has revitalized the retail segment and spearheaded both the rental and Suntex Boat Club programs. Both programs have grown and seen success under her leadership. She has experience in public accounting which “provides her with a solid foundation in business management,” according to the release.
“Her transition from the financial sector to the marina industry has been seamless, demonstrating her adaptability and dedication to any role she undertakes,” according to the release.
Bray’s vision is clear: to enhance the guest experience and foster a team-oriented culture at Hurricane Marina.
“I am thrilled to lead such a talented team at one of Tennessee’s most beloved destinations,” said Bray. “Our success hinges on our staff’s ability to connect with our visitors and slip customers, and I am committed to ensuring Hurricane Marina remains a premier destination for both relaxation and recreation.”
Ken Robinson, Suntex’s Southeast Regional Director, who has played a key role in the marina’s daily operations, will support Bray in her new role, according to the release.
Suntex says it is proud of Bray’s promotion.
