100% of the proceeds of the proceeds from merchandise go toward helping make sure children in Nashville have all the basic necessities
Old National Bancorp (“Old National”) has donated $7500 to Cannon County’s Spay It Forward Cannon County nonprofit. In March Old National donated $190,000 through its Choose Your Charity program.
“ONB put the power in the Tennessee communities’ hands as they voted for their favorite nonprofit organizations,” according to a release by Old National. Created in 2021, SIF is organized by Kimberly Foster.
“Our mission is to end overpopulation and suffering of cats in Cannon County through low-cost or offer free spay and neuter services, encourage pet owner and community involvement, and provide education. and to rescue adoptable cats from community colonies whenever possible. our mission will encourage good humanitarianism, respect for life, and help eliminate euthanasia, abuse, and neglect of unwanted cats in our rural Tennessee community,” according to SIF.
The highest vote recipients from each Old National banking center won $7,500 to help support their work in local communities.
“During the February voting period, Old National’s online portal received votes for nonprofits across the Tennessee market. The 22 winning organizations (see list below) had to be registered with 501(c)(3) legal tax exemption status within the bank’s participating communities,” according to the release.
The top vote recipient was Live Love Nashville. The 501(c)(3) non-profit, “helping children in need and families through tragedies throughout Middle Tennessee, received an additional $25,000, bringing the total to $32,500. One hundred percent of the proceeds from merchandise go toward ensuring Nashville children have all the necessities they need, such as:
- food
- warm clothing
- school supplies
- hygiene items.
It is estimated that Nashville has more than 3,000 homeless children.
“No child should have to go without,” said founder Taylor Rowe. “Live Love Nashville is here to try to make an impact for those children who need us. We can’t do it without the support of our communities and businesses.”
Steve Cook, Old National Tennessee Market President, says the organization is grateful.
“We are grateful to all those that voted for their favorite charity and are honored to play a part in funding the great work each of these organizations is doing throughout our community,” according to Cook.
