Businesses, churches and community groups are invited to participate
Christmas on the Square is the unofficial start to Christmas in Putnam County.
This year, CityScape, the Cookeville-Putnam County Visitors Bureau, and County Mayor Randy Porter say the celebration will be bigger and better than ever.
The event, which is just around the corner on Nov. 29, is the second annual.
“The finale of the evening will be the “Tree lighting” at 5 p.m.,” according to Putnam County Mayor Randy Porter.
Businesses, churches and community groups are invited to participate.
“This event will be held in tandem with Shop Small Local, will be featured on a televised special on WCTE, and a large community presence is anticipated for this free, family-friendly event,” according to the release.
The event is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information on how to become a part of Cookeville’s newest tradition, visit HERE.
“Let’s make this year’s Christmas on the Square unforgettable, together,” says Porter.
