National chain is taking on local touch with new owners
On June 5 at 1 p.m., the Cookeville–Putnam County Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly opened Domino’s Pizza in Monterey. The national chain is taking on a local touch with longtime Upper Cumberland residents and owners Jon and Danielle Powers at the helm.
The couple have raised two daughters in Sparta, where they began what they call their Domino’s journey with the opening their first store in 2002. They now own 10 locations across the Upper Cumberland.
“Jon, originally from Kingsport, TN, has consistently been recognized for excellence, earning the prestigious International Franchise Association’s Gold Franny Award four times in the last five years,” according to the Chamber. “The Gold Franny is the highest honor bestowed upon a Domino’s franchisee and is awarded to only the top 2% of franchisees worldwide.”
One of the duo’s General Manager’s was named National General Manager of the Year, and one of their local supervisors, Brittany Tramont, was named Central Region Supervisor of the Year, making her one of the top three supervisors in the entire country.
“The three most important parts of Domino’s and our success,” says Powers, “the Team, the Team and the Team.”
The Powers family is excited and grateful to be part of the Monterey community.
“Our team understands that everything we do is about the communities we serve,” says Jon.
Domino’s is open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas.
“Whether it’s a birthday, game night, lunch or dinner, they hope to be your family’s go-to for every special moment,” according to the Chamber.
Located at 124 E Commercial Avenue in Monterey, Domino’s is open Sunday to Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to Midnight and from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights. For more information, visit HERE or call (931) 322-2112.
