COOKEVILLE –The Cookeville Regional Medical Center Foundation Golf Classic is quickly approaching. This year, the featured celebrity guest will be Kevin Dyson, former wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans. The tournament is being presented by Larco Medical Inc., Turner and First Tennessee Bank.
The tournament is a two-day event with a four-person scramble format to be held Thursday, Aug. 15 and Friday, Aug. 16 at the Golden Eagle Golf Club with a separate celebrity dinner being held on Thursday evening at 6 p.m. at the Leslie Town Centre, 1 West First St. in Cookeville.
Golf team registration is currently open. Spaces are available for both Thursday and Friday. Those interested in signing up a four (4) person team are encouraged to do so quickly by completing the form found at www.CookevilleRegionalCharity.orgor calling the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation office at 931-783-2003. One team of four players is $700. Registration includes breakfast, lunch, beverages on the course, event golf-shirt, divot tool and a sleeve of tournament golf-balls. Prizes for some of the tournament games include: iPhone XR, iPhone XS, golf bags, outdoor grill, gift cards and other prizes.
The Celebrity Dinner event is open to the public with a limited number of pre-sale tickets available for $65 each or $500 for a table of eight guests. No tickets will be available at the door. The Celebrity Dinner will include fine dining, a silent auction, and a presentation by Kevin Dyson followed by a question and answer session lead by local sports authority Buddy Pearson.
The CRMC Golf Classic supports several of the charitable programs of the Foundation including: Caring Hands Patient Assistance Fund, Cancer Patient Assistance Fund and Pink Ribbon Save-A-Life Free Mammogram Program.
