“Your Old Country Store is here to stay” – Cracker Barrel

Cracker Barrel has announced a complete overhaul of its announced plans to remodel its stores following criticism of the changes.

“You’ve shared your voices in recent weeks not just on our logo, but also on our restaurants. We’re continuing to listen. Today, we’re suspending our remodels. If your restaurant hasn’t been remodeled, you don’t need to worry, it won’t be,” the restaurant said on social media.

CB says it heard your voices and understands the remodel’s design “does not reflect what you love about Cracker Barrel.”

“… We had tested this design in only four out of 660 locations, and we won’t continue with it. Of course, we will continue to invest in our restaurants to make sure that they are in good shape and meet your expectations,” according to the company.

CB has lost more than $100 million in value following a divisive redesign and “refresh,” which also included a logo change that removed the old man and carefully sketched barrel on its logo.

The once-beloved restaurant’s stock plummeted by $94 million and the 55-year-old company’s share value dropped 7.2%.
